Of
Brazilian and Panamanian origin she was born in Panama City,
Panama in 1979. From a very young age she exhibited an extreme
interest and passion for music.
At age 9
she wrote her first song "Los aņos pasan" ("years go by")but
it was not until age 15 that her talents as a songwriter and
performer were recognized when she won the National Young
Talent Competition for best original song "Perdiendote" ("loosing
you").
She was
also cast for three national Musicals: Fame, The King and I
and Pedro Navaja. For the latter she received a Premios Escena
nomination for Best New Actress.
Rolling Stone Latin America
named Priscila Moreno one of the most promising artist for
2005 in it's October 2004 issue.
Most recently she won Best Female Artist
and Best New Artist from the
Panamarock Awards 2004, the
largest music award show in the country. |
